This RFT is made by Council for supply and installation of new HVAC equipment and associated infrastructure at the Altona Theatre, located at 115 Civic Parade, Altona. The Theatre is adjoined to the Hobsons Bay City Council Civic Centre and Council Chambers.

The Theatre will be in use by theatre and dance groups throughout the contract. Works must be thoughtfully considered and clearly planned as part of this RFT to minimise disruption to users.

Council is seeking to award a contract to a single supplier or a qualified contractor to commence works in May 2025, with works estimated to be completed in time for performances in August 2025. Exact timings to be confirmed at the time of Contract award.

A mandatory tender site visit will be held at the date, time, and place indicated below for one hour.

This visit provides an opportunity to assess site-specific factors, clarify any technical requirements, and address potential constraints that may impact the work. Attendance is compulsory, and failure to participate may result in disqualification from the tender process. Tenderers are typically required to register their attendance and may need to sign an attendance sheet as proof of compliance.
