Hydro Tasmania (HT) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake, as a principal contractor, the upgrade of the existing building's critical backup power system supply to the Energy Control System (ECS) and Generation Management System (GMS) located at the 4 ELizabeth St office.

An upgrade is proposed which aims to ensure a highly reliable backup supply that can support the new GMS system for the HT 4 Elizabeth Street building.

The scope of works to be awarded is for the upgrade of the existing emergency generator power system to the GMS-ECS (the Works).

The Works includes

a. Design, drawings and Safety in Design (SID) report. To replace the existing system in accordance with HT specification below.

b. Supply and install electrical equipment and generator in two stages.

c. Remove and dispose of all redundant equipment.

d. Provide a backup generator for system changeover.

e. Commissioning of the system and providing all certifications
