Whitsunday Regional Council (Principal) has a need to undertake rehabilitation of a 1990 block wall construction pump station building to ensure the ongoing use of the facility to house pumping equipment that transfers treated water supply from the treatment plant to the region of Bowen, Merinda and surrounds, some 50 kilometres north of the treatment Plant site.

The work site location is Bowen Water Treatment Plant Lot 6 RP730105, Upriver Road, Foxdale. Site access is via approximately 3 kilometres of gravel all weather road along Upriver Road beyond the Six Mile Creek Crossing.

The Works entails the progressive and staged in-situ repair and reinstatement of the external block work that has been subject to internal reinforcement corrosion and cracking of the blockwork.

A Tender Briefing will commence at Council's Whitsunday Water and Waste Administration Building, 330 Crystalbrook Rd, Proserpine Qld 4800 at 9.00am (AEST) Thursday 27th March 2025 and then proceed to Site, Bowen Water Treatment Plant, Lot 6 RP730105, Up River Road, Foxdale, approximately 15 km Northwest of Proserpine Qld 4800.

N.B. PPE is a requirement to attend this site, at a minimum long-sleeved shirt, full length pants and steel cap boots, it is also recommended to wear sun protection.
