Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Usage, Attitudes, and Contribution of Natural Turfgrass (TU24004).
The objectives of the overall services being sought are to:
• Share knowledge back to industry to drive better decision-making
• Feed insights into the development of the new strategic investment plan and marketing program for Turf
The specific objectives of the Usage and Attitude (U&A) study:
• Improve understanding of usage and attitudes towards turf versus other options for each stakeholder group; drivers of choice, barriers to use, perceptions of turf other options
• Map growth segment opportunities and identify the respective size of the prize
The specific objectives of the Usage and Attitude (U&A) study:
• Environmental Objectives: Quantify and understand the impact of natural turf in order to promote sustainable practices and climate resilience (eg. mitigating urban heat and improving air quality)
• Economic Objectives: Quantify the turf industry's contributions, including job creation and revenue.
• Social Objectives: Quantify the community and public health benefits.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
