Development Victoria (DV) is seeking to engage a contractor to undertake remediation and demolition works at the former saleyards site in Ballarat.

Eligibility

Be able to demonstrate recent (within the last 5 years) experience in the successful completion of demolition of concrete pavements, slabs, and soil remediation projects over $5 million in Victoria where:

• asbestos management was a component of the work;
• treatment / disposal of contamination was a component of the works;
• moderate to large-scale, materials tracking systems were successfully implemented.

Be able to provide the following information (with the relevant certificates of currencies):

• $40m Public Liability Insurance;
• Workcover Insurance;
• Contracts Works Insurance;
• $20m Asbestos Liability Insurance.

Bidders who are based in Ballarat are encouraged to participate in the tender.

Procurement Process

The procurement will be conducted as an open tender.

The procurement is subject to Ministerial Directions for Public Construction Procurement in Victoria and therefore the following procurement policies apply:

• Social Procurement Framework
• Fair Jobs Code.

The successful contractor will be engaged to deliver the works under Development Victoria’s standard Construct-Only Agreement, which is a modified AS2124 Contract.
