A Request for Information (RFI) is an early market engagement activity. It’s a non-competitive procurement process used to collect market information to inform requirement development and determine a procurement method which will deliver best Value for Money.

Purpose

Responses to this RFI will be used to:

• Understand the current market dynamics, risks and trends.

• Understand general supplier capability, capacity and competitiveness in Australia.

• Understand the market opportunities to achieve social procurement outcomes.

• Inform any potential future market approach (e.g. open, select or direct).

• Understand market costs.

Overview

WorkSafe is reviewing the delivery of the following services:

• Scanning and Imaging Services

• Outbound Communication Services

An overview of these services is detailed below in this RFI document.

WorkSafe previously sought industry responses in relation to these services in 2017 and we would like update our understanding of the current market and recent innovations.

How to Respond

We are seeking information from both primary suppliers (i.e. suppliers with the capability and capacity to deliver the services on the scale required by WorkSafe), and social benefit suppliers (i.e. a registered social enterprise, Aboriginal or Torres Strait owned business or Australian Disability Enterprise), who would like to work with a primary supplier to deliver social outcomes in the delivery of the services.

The information sought is described in the Response Forms included in this RFI. There are two Response Forms:

• Response Form – Primary Supplier

• Response Form – Social Benefit Supplier

Respondents may provide a complete or partial response.

Respondents may provide a response for either Scanning and Imaging Services, or Outbound Communication Services, or both.
