Council is seeking quotations from an experienced electrical contractor to install new and refurbished park lighting at Thomas Oval Dog Park, South Yarra.

Background information / Compatibility requirements

With an elevated view of the neighbouring Yarra River, Thomas Oval Dog Park, South Yarra is a fully fenced dog park. The park is primarily accessed via a timber boardwalk to the west. The southern entrance comprises a stepped batter, whilst the eastern entrance is a concrete maintenance ramp. The main draw to the park is the dog park – which operates all year round.

Constructed in late 2022, Thomas Oval Dog Park is Stonington’s only dedicated dog park. The dog park comprises two main components – a quiet dog space, and an active dog space. The perimeter path of the active dog space is lit using solar-powered lights, although grid power is also available at the site.
