The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA) is part of DJCS and designs, procures, builds, and upgrades the infrastructure needed to keep communities safe.CSBA provides end-to-end project management and delivery of Victoria’s new prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services facilities and public safety measures on behalf of the Department.

Corrections Victoria

Corrections Victoria (CV) is the business unit within DJCS which is responsible for setting the strategy, policy and standards for the management of the State’s correctional services system, which includes prisons and community correctional services. CV develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour. CV is the asset owner and operator.
