Tender Description
The 2025-26 grant opportunity is intended to accelerate the objectives of NHMRC’s Research Translation Centres (RTCs) Initiative by supporting the RTCs to meet their strategic aims and objectives through NHMRC funding and leveraging contributions from RTC partners.
NHMRC recognises the valuable role that the 12 NHMRC-accredited RTCs play in supporting the research translation into healthcare locally – in their regions – as well as across Australia, including through their nation-wide network supported by the Australian Health Research Alliance.
The objective of the 2025-26 Supporting RTCs grant opportunity is to provide financial support to each RTC to:
- Promote engagement between researchers and end-users to improve Australian health services or health systems.
- Conduct research and research translation activities (and associated capacity/capability building) that are a priority of health services provider partners, are in alignment with the strategic objectives of the RTCs and will improve Australian health services or systems.
- Leverage further support from RTC partners (particularly those responsible for the provision of health care) to meet partner and centre joint goals.
