Project goals
This RFT offers the opportunity for new suppliers to be considered for inclusion in NSW RFS Fleet Panel for the supply of Group A Fire Appliances
Group A - Fire Appliances Cat 1 - DC - Heavy, 4x4, general purpose Cat 1 - SC&DC - Heavy, 4x4, general purpose Cat 6 - Ultra Heavy, grasslands/generalCat 7 - SC - Heavy, 4x4, grasslands Cat 9 - Light, 4x4, initial response Cat 10 - Urban Pumper, 4x2Cat 11 - Rural Pumper, 4x4
Scope
The process for inclusion in the panel requires interested suppliers to demonstrate their capability and capacity to meet RFS requirements as set out in this RFT. Please note that only NSW Fleet Panel providers can bid for the supply of those NSW Fire Appliance types that they have been pre-approved to supply.Those suppliers that are successfully selected for inclusion on the NSW RFS Vehicle and Fire Appliance Panel (Panel) will be engaged by NSW RFS at its sole discretion under the terms of a performance based Standing Offer Agreement (SOA), a draft is provided in Schedule 3.For the avoidance of doubt, the selection of “new” suppliers for the NSW RFS Vehicle and Fire Appliance Panel will lead to an expansion of the current panel membership.
Whilst the SOA makes no commitment to purchasing any quantities from any supplier, it does include provisions that show how suppliers may be rewarded with additional business opportunities for consistently meeting or exceeding agreed performance targets.
