OVERVIEW

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is intending to release a Request for Tender (RFT) in April 2025 and is seeking Expressions of Interest for the provision of Air Conditioning for the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix events (Event), to be held at Albert Park, Melbourne (Site) from 2026 onwards.

EVENT

The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix event is held over a four-day period, typically in March/April each year.

Construction of infrastructure to facilitate the Event is carried out over a 12 week build period in accordance with a strict Construction Programme, with dismantle beginning immediately following the Event. Full dismantle is required within four weeks of the Event.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The Air Conditioning scope includes the supply on hire, deliver, install, commission, service, maintain and remove refrigerated air conditioning and evaporative cooling equipment for the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, including but not limited to:

• Preliminaries, including provision of own Site facilities;
• Transportation, unpacking and repacking the AGPC owned containers and equipment from the Tottenham Storage Yard (TSY);
• Provision of a comprehensive inventory and condition report of all AGPC owned assets pre and post Event;
• Installation, commissioning, service, maintenance, removal and return of AGPC owned air conditioning units and evaporative cooling units;
• The design, supply on hire, delivery, installation, commissioning, service, maintenance and removal of evaporative cooling equipment, refrigerated air conditioning system, package air conditioning systems and wall hung splits units;
• Provision of designs and proposal drawings and schedules for corporate hospitality and non corporate facilities;
• Adhering and agreeing on deadline design drawing dates for corporate hospitality and non corporate facilities;
• Preparation of calculations for evaporative cooling equipment, refrigerated air conditioning systems, package air conditioning systems and wall hung split units;
• Provision for all parts, equipment and materials to complete the required works;
• the supply on hire, install, commission, maintenance and removal of Team Kitchens – Exhaust fans & ventilation grilles;
• The supply on hire, install, commission, maintain and remove portable ‘Movincool’ refrigerated AC units;
• Commissioning, service and maintenance of existing air conditioning units installed in the Event Management Office, Medical Centre and Commentary Boxes;
• Commissioning, service and maintenance of existing evaporative and refrigerated units permanently installed on Pit Buildings 1 - 6 for Race Control & the Paddock Club;
• Service call monitoring plus site contact;
• Provision of a standby crew during the Event period for maintenance and rectification; and
• Project management stakeholder meetings.
