Tender Description
- Indication of expected time and location for release of the Tender Notice – February 2025 on the tender website.
- General nature of the Works to be procured – Construction for erosion protection and culvert repair near Heywood Lake and construction of erosion protection within Merbein Common.
- The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is seeking suitable suppliers with demonstrated skills in constructing erosion protection and repair of minor environmental watering infrastructure.
- The project requires construction across two locations within the Mallee CMA region. Construction tasks include repair of the Heywood Lake culvert and erosion protection based on the existing concept designs for both sites, line with required specifications.
- Both sites have become eroded due to natural flooding events across the floodplain. Repairing and protecting these sites from further erosion is an important measure to ensure these areas are safe and that Mallee CMA can continue to deliver environmental water to Heywood Lake, Little Heywood Lake and Catfish Billabong as per management plans.
- Location where the Works are to be delivered –Along floodplain areas between Nyah and the South Australian border:
- Southeast of Boundary Bend at Heywood Lake culvert, adjacent to the Murray Valley Highway.
- Merbein Common floodplain, adjacent to the Catfish Billabong regulator.
