Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Collingwood Leisure Centre pool is heated by gas boilers, but the Council aims to eliminate fossil gas, reducing emissions by 304tCO2 per year and achieving net zero through 100% renewable energy.

The Council is seeking an engineering consultant to:

develop a plan for electrifying gas-powered equipment utilising heat pump plant as the primary source,
develop proposals for cost-effective, innovative energy efficiency solutions. The plan should include considerations for optimal thermal storage, participation in electricity markets, and the installation of a new open-source building management system,
improve ventilation in the pool hall, and
add cooling to the pool hall
utilise heat pumps to heat and cool reception and offices.
