Background

Austin Health has an in-house security team that provides security related services to its three campuses (Austin, REPAT and Talbot).In addition, we use a panel of external security service providers to service satelite sites and on an ad-hoc basis to supplement the internal team when required. As the current contracts are approaching expiration, the continuation of these additional security services is essential.

In addition to the above, the in-scope security related services may include:

• Internal and external patrols, providing security support for staff and patients at Epping Dialysis Unit
• Supervising high-risk patients/visitors across wards and ED, collaborating with clinical staff in de-escalating aggressive or violent behavior
• Ad hoc security support for mental health patients, aiding clinical staff in preventing aggression
• Assistance with Filling occasional gaps in staffing rosters

Austin Health is seeking suitability qualified and experienced suppliers to deliver high quality and cost effective security services. Austin Health is pleased to invite you to respond to this PQQ, as part of Austin Health Tender AHCM 325 05 SS.

The aim of the questionnaire is to :

• Identify suppliers with experience implementing security services
• Identify the number of suitable suppliers on the HSV panel
• Identify suppliers with Health Sector experience within Australia
• Understand suppliers proposed resourcing structures for this type of project

Following the evaluation of the PQQ submissions, suitable suppliers maybe shortlisted and invited to respond to a formal Request for Quote (RFQ).
