Project Overview
The Red Cliffs urban water supply system is located approximately 14km south of Mildura, Victoria.
This independent urban system services approximately 1,700 properties.
The Red Cliffs Network is supplied from the Red Cliffs WTP that is situated along the Murray River, to the east of the town.
Treated water from the Red Cliffs WTP is pumped to a 6ML clear water storage tank at Cliffside, Woomera Avenue.
Treated water is then pumped via the existing treated water pump station into the Red Cliffs Network and to a 1ML concrete standpipe.
Works Overview
A new treated water pump station is required to provide a pressurised system while making the existing standpipe redundant.
This requires a new pump station, switchroom, switchboard, generators, battery energy storage, variable speed drives and new pumps to cater for the range of flows.
The existing pump station and switchroom is to be demolished.
In addition, the replacement of the existing DN375RC rising main with a nominal DN375 rising main approximately 4,030m long, DN300 at 320m long and DN250 at 230m long is required.
Tender Specific Information
The contract model will be under the VicWater Major Works Contracts framework.
The procurement method will be for a Design & Construct contract.
The project will require tenderers to have experience with design and construction of pumping stations and pipework and a proven track record of delivering large capital infrastructure projects.
