The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is intending to release a Selective Tender for FF&E Advisory services for the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment in November 2024. Suitable advisors will be invited to participate in the selective tender, based on experience and expertise in delivering similar sized, scale and complexity public healthcare infrastructure projects.

In October 2022, the Victorian Government announced its commitment to the staged redevelopment of the RMH and the expansion of the Women’s over a 10-12 year period.

This opportunity is to provide FF&E Advisory services to contribute to the development of the Parkville campus and the Western Building, contribute to the development of the reference design and progress detailed planning and design. A consultancy team engaged to deliver the design includes Health Planning, Architectural and Engineering Advisors as well as other specialist advisors and this FF&E engagement will form part of this consultancy team.

The Western Building relocates the existing private hospital on the RMH site, which in turn provides space for the future redevelopment to transform the RMH at Parkville. The Western Building is expected to be delivered under a Partnerships Victoria model and contain State scope, non-State scope including a private hospital, and third party scope.

The EOI for a consortium to deliver the Western Building with VHBA is due for release to the market in the first half of 2025.
