The Principal invites the Tenderer to submit a Tender for the redevelopment of the DEECA Cann River Office (including Level 2 ICC) and Depot facility located at 92 Princes Highway.

The site operates in two modes – Business as Usual and Emergency Management Mode.

The office / ICC is undersized for their operating requirements and does not meet the current ICC standards. The depot struggles from a site access / egress perspective, particularly with traffic circulation once on site and has very limited parking capacity and secure undercover vehicle storage. The site is shared with Parks Victoria who will form part of the new accommodation requirements.

The site is approximately 21,000sqm in size and is 600m west of the town centre. The office and depot is located on a steep and elevated site well above the town and princes highway. The site is accessible via narrow residential streets at a slope of 1 in 10.

DEECA is proposing to demolish the existing office and depot facility and rebuild a new single storey office and depot facility which will involve some complex technical aspects of the build for the ICC. The new build will improve incident management capability and allow for best practice emergency

management procedures while respecting environmental factors, the local landscape and Cann River community.

The existing radio tower will remain in its current location to service the new ICC office building. The site will cease to operate during this period of works to minimise the construction programme, where possible.

As accommodation will be limited in Cann River, there will be an opportunity to establish temporary accommodation on the helipad which Is located within the site.
