First Peoples Tourism Plan Artwork

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is inviting First Peoples artists residing in Victoria, including Traditional Owners, to submit new or existing designs/artwork for the First Peoples Tourism Plan for Victoria – a self-determined strategy spanning 5 years.

Considerations:

The successful licenced artwork will be incorporated into the strategy and on supporting materials (eg, PowerPoint presentations, website, social media, etc). The strategy will also include the artwork’s story, the artwork name/title and the artist’s name and mob/community.

Due to the intended licence usage, artwork can be submitted for consideration in the following mediums:

• Digital Stills/vector files - if digital, will need to be in large format - high resolution files minimum 300 dpi.

• Painting

• Drawing

• Photography

If the artwork is a physical work, a photograph of the artwork is to be submitted in a high-resolution digital format. DJSIR is unable to receive or store physical artworks.

Eligibility:

This program is only available for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples who are over the age of 18, have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) registered in Victoria and reside in Victoria. If you do not identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, you are not eligible for the program and should not complete the application form. By completing this form and submitting your application, you are consenting to provide DJSIR with information around who your mob is/your Traditional Country/language group/community, which is required as part of the program.

Please include a brief narrative of the artwork, its meaning, and how it ties to the themes identified above. Also include a brief description of yourself, including who your mob is, your connection to Victoria and any other information you may want to include as seen below in the application form.
