Expressions of Interest sought for Yarra City Council Audit and Risk Commitee

⁠⁠⁠A vacancy exists for independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee of Yarra City Council.

The Audit and Risk Committee operates under a Council adopted charter and is an advisory committee to Council. The key objective of the Committee is to provide independent assurance and assistance to the Chief Executive and Council in relation to Council's risk management and compliance framework, and its external accountability and legislative compliance responsibilities. Membership of the Committee includes two Councillors and three independent members. The term for independent members is three years and an orderly rotation of membership is in place. This is a remunerated position. Council welcomes expressions of interest from individuals with professional financial, risk management, audit or local government experience. Council further welcomes applications from the local community and those from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. people living with a disability. LGBTIQ+ and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
