Artefact Heritage is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Report (ACHAR) for proposed development of a multi-level warehouse and distribution centre. The proposed development is located 1-3 Burrows Road, St Peters, NSW 2044 (Lot 1 DP 1227450 and Lot 11 DP 606737) located in the City of Sydney Local Government Area and lies within the boundaries of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council.

The proposal has been awarded status as a State Significant Development (SSD- 35962232 ) under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
We are inviting registrations of interest in the project from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and places in the locality. The purpose of this community consultation is to assist the Director-General of the Department of Planning and Environment in the determination of the project with consideration for Aboriginal cultural heritage values. The ACHAR will be prepared in accordance with the Guide to investigating, assessing and reporting on Aboriginal Cultural Heritage in NSW (OEH 2011) and the Code of Practice for Archaeological Investigation of Aboriginal Objects in NSW (OEH 2010).
