EOI Stage 1-Electricity and Renewable Energy Certificates

⁠⁠⁠To supply Transport's electricity & renewable certificates need for seven years from 1 July 2027

Project goals

Transport for NSW (Transport) is seeking to procure electricity and Renewable Certificates (RECs) for a seven-year period from 1 July 2027.

Potential Proponents wishing to respond to this Expressions of Interest (EOI) must meet the mandatory conditions of participation. (EOI Registration Form)

Scope

Transport for NSW (Transport) is seeking to procure electricity and Renewable Certificates (RECs) for a seven-year period from 1 July 2027, during which time, the electricity demand is expected to increase from circa 1,400GWh/year to 1,600 – 1,700 GWh/year.

Transport is seeking to meet this demand using:

1. A fixed price, baseload green block for the supply of 500GWh/year of electricity and 500,000 RECs/year; and
2. A progressively purchased, load-following variable block for the remainder of the load

In order to gain access to the Request for Tender documents, Tenderers are required to register their interest by sending an email: gaurav.chauhan2@transport.nsw.gov.au and include the following:

a) EOI Registration Form (Participants are requested to answer all the 4 conditions of participation before access to ARIBA EOI documentation could be granted)
