About the Project

The Attorney-General’s Department (the Department) develops and implements programs and policies to maintain and improve Australia's legal and justice systems and supports the Attorney-General to oversee Australia's security and law enforcement agencies. The Department represents the Australian Government in national and international legal and justice matters and, through the Australian Government Solicitor, provides legal services to government and agencies of government.

The Department is separated into the following organisational groups:

  • Australian Government Solicitor Group
  • Justice and Communities Group
  • National Security and Criminal Justice Group
  • Integrity and International Group
  • Enabling Services Group

The Information Division is part of the Enabling Services Group and is responsible for managing ICT services in-house on behalf of the Department, Royal Commissions and other small agencies that use ICT services under the shared services arrangement.

Despite a significant dependency on Microsoft products, the Department has a varied technology landscape, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Web applications and services (e.g. .Net, React, Angular, Power Pages)
  • Database services (e.g. SQL Server)
  • Dynamics CRM
  • Dynamics365 / PowerApps
  • ServiceNow
  • PowerBI
  • Power Automate
  • UiPath
  • Visual Studio
  • AWS Cloud Services
  • Azure Cloud Services
  • DevOps
  • SharePoint
  • Snowflake
  • SAP
  • Tosca
  • Data Management
  • Integration Services

The Information Division has an ongoing need for external support to provide additional capacity and high-quality ICT resource capability through staff argumentation and services arrangements.

The key purpose of this procurement is to establish an overarching arrangement with a set of ICT service providers who are able to demonstrate capability to support the departments work program, through the delivery of ICT work packages and provision of ICT resource as service.
