Request for Proposal: Optimising trade in the Australian vegetables industry (MT24001)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Optimising trade in the Australian vegetables industry (MT24001).
The objectives of the services being sought are as follows:
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Australian vegetable industry against key global competitors, considering key factors such as production efficiency, product positioning, business practices, trade policies, phytosanitary barriers infrastructure and logistics and product offering.
• Develop actionable strategies to enhance market penetration and competitiveness by leveraging identified strengths and addressing areas for improvement. Focus on providing growers with insights into best practices for servicing key markets, including market preferences, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify key areas of competitive advantage and core obstacles preventing the industry from realising its full potential through a comprehensive assessment and strategic analysis. Develop tailored strategies to address these challenges, aiming to enhance trade performance, drive economic growth, and foster sustainability in the Australian vegetable industry.
