Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The proposed works are located at Chifley Dam located 20km South of Bathurst NSW.

1.The Tender shall be for the supply of an approved mower suitable for the mowing of an earth embankment wall with a slope of 2.5:1 (Horizontal to Vertical).

2.Supply of any other equipment, chemical and necessary for the maintenance of grass and weeds.

3. Supply of qualified, experienced operator, all consumables and maintenance of plant and equipment.

4.Cutting of grass within the specified boundary at the site. Typically, fortnightly in the growing seasons of Spring/Summer and monthly during Autumn/Winter (Approximately 19 cuts per annum). Or at different intervals as negotiated at the time depending on the rate of growth due to weather conditions. Weed spraying with "Round Up" of boundary fence and fixtures, when necessary, is permissible for the purpose of reducing the amount of manual labour required i.e. "whipper-snippering".

5.The successful contractor will be required to liaise with the Supervisor at the Water Filtration Plant to confirm commencement and finish times of "cuts", and to notify of any delays. The successful contractor must be able to be contacted in person or via a reliable message system. Contact details must be supplied with the Tender.

6.Once a "cut" is complete, grass shall be no longer than 100mm where the ground is uneven. Where the ground surface is even, and the grass is able to be cut closer to the surface the grass shall be no longer than 75 mm.

7.If the quality of work done is not up to the required standard the contractor will be notified verbally and in writing. Payment of invoices may be withheld until rectification works are undertaken.

8.Aerial Images are attached to this specification at Attachment 1.

9.Any damage to Council's water storage, pumping and telemetry equipment should be reported immediately to the Bulk Water Supply Supervisor at the Water Filtration Plant. The contractor will be liable for the cost of any damage that they cause in the course of carrying out the above work.
