Tender Description
This is an invitation to tenderers who hold eligible water rights in certain catchments in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia to submit tender responses in relation to the purchase of eligible water rights up to a total of 70 gigalitres (GL) long term diversion limit equivalent by the Australian Government to help deliver Murray Darling Basin Plan 2012 (Basin Plan) outcomes under the Restoring our Rivers Framework.
The Australian Government (represented by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water) is seeking to purchase eligible water rights of up to 70 GL of surface water across 5 catchments. These catchments are:
•New South Wales – Murrumbidgee and New South Wales Murray
•South Australia – South Australian Murray
•Victoria – Ovens and Victorian Murray
