Tender Description
The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (Homes Victoria) is planning to release a tender for Quantity Surveying Services across Regional Victoria .
The Project involves the delivery of approximately 260 dwellings (85 sites), utilising Project Homes Panel of Builders which will be the main form of procurement for the smaller projects and four sites of to be apartment style Design and Construct contracts.
The tender will be selective tender, with potential tenderers selected from the Construction Supplier Register (CSR).
The breakdown of the location of sites and yield is as below:
East
• Shepparton – 5 Sites (15 Dwellings)
• Wangaratta – 6 Sites (17 Dwellings)
• Wodonga – 2 Sites (6 Dwellings)
North
• Bendigo – 18 Sites (62 Dwellings)
• Mildura – 8 Sites (23 Dwellings)
• Swan Hill – 3 Sites (8 Dwellings)
South
• Morwell – 12 Sites (39 Dwellings)
West
• Geelong – 15 Sites (37 Dwellings)
• Horsham – 4 Sites (20 Dwellings)
• Portland – 3 Sites (8 Dwellings)
• Warrnambool – 9 Sites (21 Dwellings)
The sites are owned by the CEO of Homes Victoria and some sites will be combined to allow for more dense developments. Homes Victoria reserves the right to interchange sites, should the need to arise, for substitutes within the same local government area. Homes Victoria may also add sites in other local government areas at its discretion.
The successful consultant is required to carry out Building Surveying Services for each site in accordance with a brief and Consultancy Agreement that will be supplied at tender.
The building surveyor must be registered in accordance with Part 11 of the Building Act 1993 in the category of Building Surveyor in the class of building surveyor unlimited by the Building Practitioners Board Victoria or other appropriate statutory body for registering practitioners in the state of Victoria and be accredited by Homes in accordance with the Capital Development Guidelines Series 7 as a building surveyor.
The Building Surveyor is required to have appropriate expertise to assess designs against the performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Capital Development Guidelines Series 7 – Fire Risk management (Guidelines).
Interested consultancy firms are required to submit their Capability Statements to rhf@homes.vic.gov.au before the closing date of this notice.
