Tender Description

RAM manufactures circulating coins for Australia and foreign countries and serves as a leading tourist attraction for the Canberra region. RAM’s current fleet of AGVs have exceeded their intended lifespan. RAM’s current AGVs contribute to the visitor experience by demonstrating RAM’s status as a high-tech manufacturing facility.

The RAM is looking to replace the existing fleet and is seeking to establish a relationship with a supplier who can provide ongoing service and support over the anticipated life of approximately 10 years. This support will include both maintenance and operator training during commissioning and duration of support period.

The RAM will require capability for multiple driverless trucks to operate in the same operational area, communicate with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) over Ethernet, be capable of tracking parameters and log each palletised load, and allow flexibility for adding more trucks or operational areas in future as required. The system shall allow remote access by the supplier to provide ongoing support such as maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting. The replacement fleet will need to be compatible with the established operations process, have a high standard of safety and require minimal human intervention.
