Tender Description
If you own an electric vehicle (EV), you can apply for funding to buy and install a charger at your residential property or business.
The Electric Vehicle Charger (Residential and Business) Grants Scheme supports the uptake of electric vehicles in the Northern Territory as they become more prominent in the market place. Electric vehicles emit zero or low emissions and contribute to the Territory Climate Response.
Through the EV Charger Grants Scheme, you can get grants of up to:
- $1,000 for a residential property
- $2,500 for a business
Who can apply
You can apply if you meet the scheme's terms and conditions, and you:
- are an owner of an NT-registered electric vehicle (EV)
- are a homeowner or business owner
- meet the property requirements relevant to you as a residential or business owner
Who can't apply
You can't apply if you're any of the following:
- public and private schools
- public or private educational institutions
- government agencies and government owned bodies
- statutory corporations
- local government
How to apply
1. Read the program Terms and Conditions.
2. Request a quote from your nominated supplier for an EV charger:
- Recommended or made for your vehicle by a manufacturer, or
- Listed on the program register of approved electric vehicle chargers DOCX (82.9 KB).
3. Prepare your supporting materials
You will need:
- A valid quote for the purchase and installation of your EV charger
- Your driver's licence
- Evidence of vehicle ownership (registration or confirmation of purchase)
- If your business is a Trust, you will need the Trust Deed
