The Department of Transport and Main Roads, Translink division, is seeking proposals for a Disruption Management System Proof of Concept (PoC).
Queensland's public transport network is a multimodal system, encompassing buses, trains, ferries and trams, each operated independently. Translink oversees all public transport modes across Queensland, in partnership with various service providers and government agencies, to ensure timely services and minimise disruptions for customers. Effective disruption management is essential in Queensland’s public transport system, guiding users through potential impacts on their journeys and influencing travel behaviour.
Translink aims to explore digital solutions that will help transform disruption management and communication through a proof of concept with one or more suppliers. The proof of concept aims to test the feasibility and understand the capabilities of disruption management solutions that streamline communications and operations, reduce manual processes, and create consistency in how disruptions are received and managed.
The intent is to form a QITC General Contract with the selected supplier/s for a period of approximately six months to deliver the proof of concept.
