Blacktown City Council is committed to provide clean and tidy conditions of our public area to the community. Our City Image team operate a designated crew to carry out routine cleaning and sweeping of roadside gutter in our local government area. We have about 5 street sweeping vehicles equipped with hopper of around 6.5 tonnes capacity. Street sweeping waste includes various types of debris, litter, leaves, dirt, sand, and other waste materials, from streets, sidewalks, and gutters.
In this request for tender, we are seeking tenders for suitable EPA licenced facilities to receive the collected waste for process including resource recovery and proper disposal on an as needed basis.
The initial period of the contract will be for 3 years with options in favour of Council for a further period of 2 x 1-year extensions subject to satisfactory performance, and Council requirements.
