Housing Australia Future Fund – BH2NJ At 618-624 Mowbray Rd and 25-29 Mindarie Street, Lane Cove North - Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment Invitation To Register an Interest

Artefact Heritage and Environment, on behalf of Homes NSW (the proponent), is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHAR) of the property known as 618-624 Mowbray Rd and 25-29 Mindarie Street, Lane Cove North. The proposal comprises a State Significant Development project (SSD 71687208 ) for the construction of 86 new social and affordable residential dwellings, including associated carparking, services and landscaping. Artefact has been engaged to prepare an ACHAR to satisfy the anticipated requirements of the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project. The ACHAR will support an Environmental Impact Statement for the project.

The proposed development is located within the Lane Cove Local Government Area and the boundaries of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC).

We are inviting registrations of interest in the project from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the locality of the project. Please note that the consultation guidelines require us to provide details of Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW (formerly Office of Environment and Heritage) and the Metropolitan LALC.
