The object of this Contract is to provide Hunter Water with a long-term arrangement for machining and general mechanical maintenance services which is reliable, highly responsive, well managed and controlled, at least cost to Hunter Water.

The Contractor will be capable of:

- completing specialist and large-scale machining activities that are unable to be completed by Hunter Water

- completing general machining and mechanical maintenance activities that are unable to be completed by Hunter Water

- responding to emergency and after hour work requests including onsite attendance unable to be completed by Hunter Water

- provide off site machining services to assist in the repair and maintenance of Hunter Water assets as and when required

- provide skilled resources to supplement the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Group during emergency or peak periods.

The works may be required to be carried out anywhere within Hunter Water's area of operation. This area comprises of the local government areas of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Dungog, and Port Stephens.
