RoadTek are undertaking timber piers rehabilitation on the Mulligan Highway (Mt Molloy Lakeland – 34B) at McLeod River Bridge located 48 km North of Mount Molloy Township. Each pier will require four (4) 310UC158 Universal Columns steel piles driven, for a total of eight (8) piles. All works and materials shall be in accordance with the relevant and current versions of the Transport and Main Roads Specifications and attached project specific documentation. The works shall be carried out under the RoadTek Works Contract.

Works shall be carried out in accordance with MRTS66 and MRTS68.

In Scope

The scope of works for the McLeod River Bridge Piers Rehabilitation project is to pile drive 8 universal columns in accordance with MRTS66, MRTS 66.1 Annexure, MRTS 68, MRTS 68.1 Annexure, the supplementary specifications, the design report, and the project drawings depicting the pile schedule and set out. A sidetrack will be available around the bridge, access to each of the bridge abutment will be available for pile driving equipment. High strain dynamic testing (HSDT) shall be completed over the full driven length of the first pile at each pier, in accordance with MRTS66.
