Tender Description
All GVW Contractors who tender for work with a total of 100k or more will be required to have a third party certified safety System e.g. AS/NZS 4801:2001
Design, fabrication, assembly, testing and delivery to site of ferric sulphate storage and dosing system for the Actiflo process at Shepparton WMF.
The Contract includes two Separable Portions:
• Separable Portion A – Chemical Storage Area Upgrade – All works other than the Roofing Structure
• Separable Portion B – Roofing Structure over Chemical Storage Area – Item 20 below
The ferric sulphate storage and dosing system shall comprise of the following:
1) 4 off, 22.5kL PE rotomolded chemical storage tanks.
2) 1 off, chemical dosing pumps skid complete with duty/standby dosing pumps and accessories.
3) Interconnecting piping within the chemical bund complete with valves, fitting, pipe supports and pipe cross overs.
4) Interconnecting above and below ground double contained piping external to the bund up to the chemical dosing point complete with pipe supports and leak detection pit(s).
5) 3 off safety showers.
6) Instruments in accordance with the P&ID Drawing.
7) Power, control and communication cabling, including pit, trench, conduits, cable tray and supports from and to the existing control cabinet and switchboard.
8) General lighting and GPOs.
9) Junction boxes, local control stations and local isolation switches.
10) Chemical delivery panel.
11) Marshalling board (if required).
12) Removal and safe disposal of existing GRP chemical tanks (4 off).
13) Removal and safe disposal of existing piping, valves and pipe supports that will become redundant as a result of these works.
14) Removal of existing chemical dosing pumps and handover to GVW Operations.
15) Removal of exiting coating and application of new epoxy coating to internal surface of the chemical bund.
16) Making good any damage to slab concrete and tank plinths.
17) Extension of chemical bund walls (if required).
18) Piping crossovers inside and into the chemical bund.
19) Submersible pump for chemical storage bund.
20) Roofing complete with associated steel structure over chemical bund (Separable Portion B).
The tanks will need to be replaced between the months of September and May as this is the time when the plant is not in operation.
