Tender Description
The Aotearoa New Zealand Adult Medicine Division Education Committee (Aotearoa NZ AMDEC) seeks expressions of interest for a committee member.
The Aotearoa NZ AMDEC oversees the implementation of College Education Policy and Strategic Direction in relation to education in the Division in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Committee:
- oversees the accreditation for Training Settings and the Basic Training Programs
- monitors training program requirements and curricula
- advises the CEC on education policy
Aotearoa NZ AMDEC acknowledges Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and the foundational principles of bicultural partnership, participation, and protection it guarantees. Takohanga | Responsibilities
The Committee has 4 hui-ā-ataata | Zoom meetings and 1 kanohi ki te kanohi | face-to-face meeting in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington per year.
Most of the mahi will occur during scheduled hui. There is likely to be up to 2 hours of pre-reading required before kanohi ki te kanohi hui, and 1 hour prior to hui-ā-ataata | zoom. Members may be asked to respond to communication out of session.
Paearu Mātauranga, Paearu Wheako | Knowledge and experience criteria
- be a RACP mātai rata pakeke | Adult Medicine Fellow, who resides in Aotearoa NZ
- high level communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to build positive partnerships
- computer literate with access to a computer
- ability and capacity to prepare appropriately and diligently for participation in RACP activities
