Public Toilets, BBQ's and Halls Cleaning Services

⁠⁠⁠Kingborough Council is seeking tenders for provision of public toilet, BBQ and public hall cleaning services under a schedule of rates term contract arrangement for a 2-year term, with an option to extend for a further 2 years on a 1 + 1 yearly basis at the discretion of Kingborough Council’s Chief Executive Officer. This contract will commence on or as close to the 1st August 2024 or a date nominated by the Council. Services are required throughout the Kingborough Municipality, including on Bruny Island.

Tenders must include all of mainland Kingborough or all of Bruny Island but not necessarily both areas.

A pre-tender meeting will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday the 13th of June 2024 at Kingborough Council Works Depot, 182 Channel Highway, Kingston, Tasmania 7050.

1. Cleaning of Public Toilets, including:

- Cleaning of toilets and hand washing facilities;

- Cleaning of toilet building interiors, including surfaces, change tables, floors, walls, interior of roof, doors and windows;

- Checking of basins, toilets and taps for plumbing problems and water tank levels, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Checking that lights and other electrical items are operational, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Supply and replenishment of consumables, including consumables Dispensers;

- Supply and emptying of Disposables Containers, including disposal of waste at a licensed disposal facility;

- Cleaning exterior to toilet buildings;

- Notification of graffiti and damage to the Principal;

- Removal of graffiti under specified circumstances;

2. Cleaning of BBQs, including:

- Cleaning of BBQs and adjacent food preparation areas;

- Cleaning of BBQ Shelter interiors, including floors, walls, interior of roof, doors and windows;

- Inspection and replacement of fat traps, including disposal of waste at a licensed disposal facility such as the KWS Barretta Waste and Recycling Centre

- Checking that BBQs are functional, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Checking that lights and other electrical items in BBQ Shelters are operational, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Cleaning exterior to BBQ Shelters;

- Notification of graffiti and damage to the Principal;

- Removal of graffiti under specified circumstances;

3. Cleaning of Halls, including:

- Cleaning of toilet areas;

- Cleaning of kitchen areas;

- Cleaning of internal surfaces, change tables, floors, walls, ceilings, doors and windows in all areas, including toilets and kitchens;

- Checking of basins, sinks, toilets and taps for plumbing problems and water tank levels, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Checking that lights, cooking facilities and other electrical items are operational, including prompt notification of problems to the Principal;

- Supply and replenishment of consumables, including consumables Dispensers;

- Supply and emptying of Disposables Containers, including disposal of waste at a licensed disposal facility;

- Cleaning exterior to Halls;

- Notification of graffiti and damage to the Principal;

- Removal of graffiti under specified circumstances;

- When requested by the Principal, undertake periodic stripping and resealing of kitchen floors.

Tenders not fully uploaded to the electronic tender box by the Closing Time will not be received nor considered. Tenders will not be accepted by hand delivery, by post, by facsimile or by email. Neither the lowest nor any tender will necessarily be accepted.
