Tender Description
Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified contractors who can demonstrate their capacity and experience in undertaking the processing of kerbside food organics and garden organics.
The Principal wishes to engage the Service Provider to receive and process kerbside collected Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) materials. To reduce carbon emissions and prolong the lifespan of its local landfills, the Principal commenced a FOGO collection service on 1 July 2022, following a community education and communication program.
The Principal has an existing contract for the collection and transport of FOGO material to a nominated processing facility until 30 June 2032. Collection and transport of kerbside FOGO material is not included in this tender.
