Superintendent for the Tamworth Regional Aquatic Centre

⁠⁠⁠Tamworth Regional Council (Council) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified consultants to be engaged as the superintendent for tender number T029/2024 Superintendent for the Tamworth Regional Aquatic Centre and Northern Inland Centre of Sport and Health.

Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified superintendent to assist Council in administering the future design and construct main contract for the proposed Tamworth Regional Aquatic Centre and Northern Inland Centre of Sport and Health. The superintendent is generally expected to assist Council in managing and administering the main contract through reviewing the contract conditions prior to procuring, managing program and schedule of the contractor, contract administration, onsite verification of works, construction status reporting, and coordination of cost control and payment processes. A detailed scope of works is provided in "Volume 2 - Specifications for Service".

This tender is intended to initially include only assistance with reviewing the main contract conditions. Additional services provided by the superintendent under the tender will only be obtained should full funding be allocated to the project.

The tender documents include a draft of the "Conditions of Contract". This document will be finalised as part of the tender evaluation and award process.

Tenders close at 11:00am AEST, Tuesday 18 June 2024. A compulsory virtual meeting on Wednesday 29 May 2024 is required to be attended by prospective tenderers to be considered for the works. Details are available in the 'Conditions and Information for Tenderers'.

Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender and any tenderer who directly or indirectly canvasses support from an elected member or servant of the Council will be disqualified.
