Port Campbell National Park (PCNP) Traffic Services

⁠⁠⁠Provision of traffic and pedestrian management services within Port Campbell National Park. Specifically, this tender involves the provision of traffic management personnel and equipment to manage vehicles in a safe, orderly and efficient manner into and out of particular car park entrances and parking bays. The project also requires traffic management expertise to ensure onsite car parking conditions are managed to suit demand during the peak visitor period.

The Port Campbell National Park including the Twelve Apostles Visitor Site is a very significant tourist attraction, receiving approximately two million visitors/year. The site is a preferred destination for families, local tourists and international visitors. Action is required to ensure that this experience is managed to ensure that people still value their visit even through the peak visitation period.

Expected periods of highest visitor pressure are summer school holidays, Chinese New Year period and Easter. The sites where capacity is expected to be exceeded by visitation are Gibson Steps, Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

For the past ten years, Parks Victoria has conducted a planned operation to manage expected spikes in visitation where visitor site car park capacities are exceeded.

Notes: Tenderers are expected to attend this briefing in person. The briefing will include a site inspection.

Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
