Sunshine Coast Council’s Smart City Framework guides council solutions that support data driven decision making, improved service delivery and cost-effective management of assets. Council has more than eighty (80) operational Smart City solutions, with almost half driven by Internet of Things (IoT) sensor data such as water flow and population counts.

The IoT network aims to improve Council’s understanding of its asset performance, optimise the utilisation of its assets, and define future asset performance requirements.

The quantity of IoT sensor deployments was initially low, however there has been significant growth with regular requests received by different areas of Council.

Tenders are invited for suitable solution Suppliers to deliver the majority of Council’s IoT requirements and address the main system and process components.

The tender includes four distinctive elements:

• IoT Network

• Databases and Middleware

• Sensor Analytics
