1. About The Royal Women's Hospital ("the Women's")

The Women’s located in the Parkville hospital precinct just north of the Melbourne CBD is Australia’s first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health of all women and newborns. Each year, the Women’s provide in excess of 250,000 episodes of care for women from 189 countries, who speak 90 different languages and follow 69 separate religious faiths.

The Women’s provide comprehensive health services ranging from health promotion to clinical expertise and leadership in maternity, gynecology, women's cancer services and in the specialist care of newborns.

2. Purpose of the Invitation to Supply (ITS)

The Women's Intranet is no longer functionally or technically fit for purpose. The Women's will soon be seeking responses to refresh/re-build its Intranet using Microsoft SharePoint within its Microsoft Azure tenancy (Refresh). The Term of the Agreement to supply this Refresh is envisaged at this stage to cover a 3-4 month build phase and then on-going support - either ad-hoc or via a managed service for 3-5 years. The Women’s will itself undertake data/content migration from the current Intranet to the Refreshed Intranet.

3. ITS release and tender submission

ITS documents will be released onto the Victorian Government’s Digital Marketplace/ eServices’ Register in the coming weeks. Interested vendors will need to be members of this Register to participate in this ITS. The Women’s has in mind releasing this ITS to an appropriate select vender set which are members of the Register and which have significant experience and track record in delivering similar SharePoint-based projects to medium-sized customers, including smaller Victorian Government agencies.

4. Key anticipated dates of ITS

ITS release date: expected in the next 2 weeks.

ITS closing date: 3-4 weeks from release.
