Tender Description
Mildura Rural City Council is seeking tenders from contractors and suppliers to provide pedestrian lighting for Mildura's Riverfront. The scope of works is for an audit, design, supply, construct, and commission in its entirety, of Commercial Pedestrian Solar Pedestrian Lighting that meets Australian Standards. The Solar lighting must meet the below specifications and provide suitable lighting lux levels for the routes as specified at Item 7 and within the location maps Appendix B: -
1. Lighting Audit: Conducting a thorough assessment of the specified routes to assess existing lighting conditions and determine required lighting levels.
2. Design: Creating a design that adheres to Australian Standards and integrates with and complements existing pedestrian lighting infrastructure. This includes considering style, shape, color consistency and vandalism proof.
3. Supply of Solar Lighting: Providing a solar lighting system that meet specific specifications:
- Minimum 8-hour runtime.
- Fast recharge capability in both sunlight and low light conditions, with a maximum 6-hour charging time.
- All-weather resistance to ensure durability and performance in various environmental conditions.
- Automatic daytime turn-off feature to conserve energy.
- Light poles not exceeding 8 meters in height.
- Installation options include standalone installation with concrete blocks above ground or concrete footings no deeper than 600mm.
- Incorporation of motion detection or censored capability for triggering or ramping up light output.
- Automatic activation at dusk.
4. Commissioning and Handover: Ensuring that the entire project is completed within the specified timeframe, with proper commissioning and handover procedures to ensure functionality and compliance.
The Tenderer is required to quote for all locations as specified. The specific locations will be awarded based on priority and funding availability.
INSPECTION: A site inspection is scheduled for 9.00 AM on Wednesday 15 May 2024. Attending this site inspection is mandatory. Should you be unavailable please contact Procurement@mildura.vic.gov.au.

Submissions must be fully received by the closing time as late submissions will not be accepted. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. All responses must be made by online submission. Any response made by any other means (open email, facsimile, post or in person) will not be considered.
