Tender Description
Expression of Interest (EOI) - LC318
Shepparton Regional Saleyards - Commercial Lease
Council is seeking an open Expression of Interest (“EOI”) under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Vic) from interested parties to enter into a long term Commercial Lease Agreement to manage the day to day operations of the Shepparton Regional Saleyards.
Council proposes that the Saleyards Commercial Lease be for a term of ten years (10 years), with two additional terms of ten years (10 years), with an expectation that the operator (lessee) will conduct the day-to-day management of the business commencing 1 January 2025.
Council is seeking EOI's from businesses to lease the Saleyards on the basis of satisfactory commercial rent, with an alternative of a remuneration based around a mix of rent, profit share and a willingness to invest in existing and new infrastructure. The aim is to ensure the Saleyards remains a viable livestock selling facility, which will maintain and reinforce Greater Shepparton as a major regional stock selling complex. Council is also willing to consider any other alternative proposals.
EOI's can only be lodged online. Please note Greater Shepparton City Council no longer accepts hardcopy. Please submit all EOI's through the TenderSearch website.
It is Council’s policy not to accept EOI's after the specified closing time.
Council will not accept any EOI's by facsimile, or by e-mail.
