Tender Description
The existing Bombardier MITRAC traction package and Train Control Management System (TCMS) [known as TPT] equipment on our IMU120/SMU220 and IMU160/SMU260 electric multiple units rolling stock fleets is becoming obsolete.
The primary project objective is to design and deliver a direct replacement traction package and TCMS across the 98x 3-car vehicles that make up these fleets. This will have equal, or improved, performance and functionality when compared to the existing TPT system, while observing limitations of integration with the existing sub-systems such as the main transformer and traction motors.The new design is expected to directly interface and integrate with the existing sub-systems on the vehicle, without requiring any modification to the rolling stock; facilitate direct removal and replacement with the new system at a vendor nominated facility with minimal impact to vehicle availability.

EOI Objectives
- The purpose of this EOI is to engage vendors with demonstrated experience who are able to inform the feasibility of the project based on known requirements and constraints.
- The vendors are to advise how they plan to mitigate potential problems, challenges, risks and how they will manage and meet timeframes considering their capabilities.
- Understand what is needed to deliver this project.
