Moyne Shire Council is seeking to appoint one member of the community to the role of Independent Member to the Audit and Risk Committee. The appointment will be for a period of three years.

The Audit and Risk Committee is an active advisory committee that assists the Council in the effective conduct of its responsibilities for financial reporting, risk management, maintaining a reliable system of internal controls and facilitating ethical development. Intending applicants should have:

• Knowledge of Council operations and the environment in which it operates •Strong communication skills

• High levels of personal integrity and ethics

• High levels of financial literacy including senior business or financial management/ reporting experience and risk management
