Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to complete routine preventative locksmith services, supply locks, locksets and maintenance of the council owned Bi-Lock system.

The works shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following general activities:

1. the supply of blanks and cutting of keys when required;
2. re-keying of replacement locks;
3. preventive maintenance to external and internal locksets and padlocks;
4. emergency repairs/replacements of locksets and padlocks to maintain building security;
5. development and maintenance of a lock schedule for Council properties;
6. preparation and submission of service reports; and
7. other minor works not specifically identified but necessary for the effective completion of the specified tasks and procedures.

Council’s current Bi-Lock System is made up of 611 existing key types, each key has multiple copies issued to Council officers, Contractors and external user groups.

Council currently has 392 building assets located across the municipality. These assets are secured by several different lock types such as door hardware, padlocks and hardware for cabinets.
