Chisholm Institute has revised its requirements for the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Main Works Contractor Services at Chisholm Institute (released as CHI-FTS-MWC on 27 March 2024). The EOI will now incorporate the construction of the Frankston Defence Centre as well as the Frankston Tech School, forming Stage 3 of the Frankston Redevelopment Project.

The Main Works Package will include in-ground services, foundations, construction & fit-out of the new Frankston Tech School and new Frankston Defence Centre at the Chisholm Institute - Frankston Campus. The new Tech School will be a building that offers high levels of functionality while also offering spatial flexibility and will support contemporary learning and teaching practices with a focus on active student-centred learning.

The new Defence Centre will comprise a flexible trades training space (workshops and classrooms). This is a high-profile project for the Frankston Community and surrounds and will deliver an important building for the precinct. Chisholm Institute (Chisholm) is a government-owned TAFE and is one of Victoria’s premier public vocational education and training providers, prominently placed across Melbourne’s south east manufacturing heartland and residential growth corridors.
