General Description of Works

The high-level scope of works for each location is shown below, with details of the requirements at each location shown in later sections.

• Maribyrnong Viaduct, 17.356km, Keilor East
• Bearing cleaning, inspection and repairs
• Moorabool Viaduct, 78.798km, Moorabool
• Bearing cleaning, inspection and repairs
• Sim Street Bridge, 4.655km, West Melbourne
• Concrete under deck cleaning, repairs and sealing
• Bunbury Street Tunnel Retaining Wall, 4.761km, Footscray
• Brick repair works
• At each location, the contractor will be responsible for:
• Site set up, protection and clean up.
• Access arrangements and agreements with the local council landowner.
• Protection blocking off the area to the public.
• Traffic management
• Cleaning, inspection, painting, and repair works on each item listed, as per ARTCs Structures Repair Guidelines ETG0902.
• Anything beyond this is to be communicated to the ARTC Project Manager for approval.
• Site supervision, plant, materials and labour to complete the scope of works.
• Safe Working.
• Track certification.

Qualified Structures Repairer on site to sign off and document all repair works. Including ITPs includes before and after photos Signalling support and certification if required.

Contractor to be the Principal Contractor for the sites.

Works to be completed as traffic permits. Where this is deemed not possible by the contractor, the contractor shall nominated a suitable window for track warrants or Australian Rail Track Corporation

Australian Rail Track Corporation Tender No. CWANSW0729600 Page 4 of 23 occupation. Noting that these requested windows may not be granted due to operational restraints.

Noting that there is a no trains period each Saturday night between 11:30pm and 6am, which can be utilised for the Sim Street bridge, Bunbury retaining wall works.

Compliance with any conditions of working in waterways permits or environmental assessments.

Assuming the bearing cleaning and Steel Joist cleaning works are existing lead-based paint, with controls in place to address this risk
