Tender Description

This project aims to bolster community connectedness by enhancing outdoor recreation opportunities.

With a diverse landscape, the project seeks to expand and improve trails infrastructure for hiking, biking, and walking, fostering social interaction and a sense of belonging.

By creating inclusive spaces and promoting active lifestyles, the initiative aims to strengthen community ties and encourage cultural exchange.

Through collaboration between stakeholders, including local government and community groups, the project strives to build a vibrant network of trails that reflects community values and promotes long-term stewardship.

The Contract provides for the whole of the works according to the specifications including:

1. Basic Mapping of Existing Tracks and Trails: Develop maps displaying existing tracks and trails across Alpine Shire, categorizing them by road bike, mountain bike, gravel bike, hiking, walking, and rail trail.

2. Peer Review of Consultation and Research Findings: Review the data collection, background research, trail inventory, and usage data. Provide feedback and insights to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the findings. Conduct a gap analysis and offer recommendations based on the research.

3. Basic Mapping of Proposed Tracks and Trails: Develop maps illustrating proposed tracks and trails within Alpine Shire, considering various recreational activities such as hiking, biking, and walking.

4. Concept Designs: Develop final concept designs for the proposed tracks and trails, considering terrain, environmental impact, user experience, and community feedback.

Separable Portion:

1. Action Plan and Prioritization List: Develop an action plan outlining the implementation steps for the proposed tracks and trails. Prioritize the new tracks and trails based on various factors such as feasibility, community need, and environmental impact.
