The Council is currently inviting quotes from qualified builders to address stormwater-related damage affecting the Kerang Plaza building basement and its immediate vicinity. Manifestations of mold growth within the basement prompted a specialized inspection, resulting in a comprehensive report detailing recommended repair measures. Furthermore, this report specifies parameters for operations within the basement area, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and protocols for the removal of items and waste materials.

To support the final stage of quoting all potential tenderers will require a site meeting with key Council staff. There will be no separate meetings with contractors to provide fairness and accurate information to all tenderers. The site meeting will be to finalize a scope of works for a final fixed lump sum amount.

The site meeting will be scheduled for Thursday 21st March 2024 at 11.00am.
